It's Monday! What are you reading (37)
It's Monday! What Are You Reading, hosted by Book Journey, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
Here's what I read this past week:
Nice Girls Don't Live Forever by Molly Harper (Review)
Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton (Review)
Delirium by Lauren Oliver (Review)
I finished up the latest book in the Nice Girls series. These books are so much fun, and I highly recomend them when you want a book that will just make you laugh and laugh. The author has a werewolf series that has a few recent releases that I'm going to have to check out. If they are anything like these, they will be fantastic.
I also read Darkness Becomes Her which is about the remains of New Orleans being a safe haven for supernaturals. The main character is cursed and has the power to save or doom everyone. This book was definitely a set up and world building novel, but it definitely caught my attention. I can't wait to see how things turn out in the next installment!
Finally I read an awesome dystopian novel called Delirium. This book was absolutely phenomenal, and definitely satisfied my dystopian hunger. The whole premise that people truly felt love was a disease made for a world that was utterly horrifying. What is life really worth without love in its many forms? Trust me this is one book you won't want to miss.
On a side note, the Kindle button is back up on Netgalley, so expect A LOT of ARC reviews to be coming in the next couple of weeks ;)
My upcoming list:
Skeleton Crew by Cameron Haley (Early Review)
The Vampire Dimitri by Colleen Gleason (Early Review)
Ordinary Angels by India Drummond (Review and Interview)
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter (Early Review)
I'm reading Delirium now and it's so good! I want to read Darkness becomes her; it sounds amazing. Can't wait to read what you think about it! Happy Monday!

Spring Break's over. I mostly read books for my project. Come see what I finished.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like to read kelly Keaton's book and the Nice Girl's series. Young Adult is not usually my thing, but I have read some - Lili St. Crow and J.A. Campbell.
