Let's Talk With Smash & Kt (2)

Nov 09, 2012 by Kt Clapsadl

Welcome to the Let’s Talk weekly discussion meme!

Originally hosted by Melissa from i swim for oceans, Smash & Kt took her original inspiration, and made it their own, expanding it to more than just books. Let’s get personal (but respectfully so) and learn more about one another!  Each week, a different question will be posted along with a place to link up your posts and visit other people’s responses. This meme is definitely meant to bring out conversation and meet new people. So, Let's Talk!

This week's question:

What TV shows are you most excited for this Fall/Winter, and why? Yes, we encourage the pimping of hot men on TV. There is certainly no shortage of that this season! (Thank you, Ashley/Bibliophile’s Corner!)

Uhm TV? What's that? Lol. I really am not a TV person, it just bores me too much. My hubby however is a TV junkie and he likes me to sit with him and at least pretend to watch it with him while I play on my laptop. Although he can't stand commercials, so a few months ago we cancelled the cable. I just didn't see the sense in paying for TV when 90% of the time he just watched Netflix instant view or used their DVD service. That being said, there are a few TV series that have sucked me in enough to actually watch them. Granted, we are at least a season or two behind what's being aired right now, so I know I'm not really answering this question directly, but you can get an idea of the few shows that I find intriguing enough to keep my attention.

I'm going to have to join Netflix to pick up some of those cable series or things like The Walking Dead where I just missed it.

Yes, I crazy love Haven. The hubby is so-so about it, but he tolerates it because it is one of the few show's I'll watch with him. I haven't heard of Alphas. May have to check into that.

I'm so behind on all shows. *sigh* I'm gonna have to start renting DVDs of them if I ever intend to catch up.

I'm not a huge tv watcher either but Netflix is my friend ;) My son is WILD about Walking Dead. I've caught a little of it here and there, it creeps me out, lol.

Ugh! Yes that show does give me the heebee jeebees. But there is just something about it that sucks me in. Although the hubby laughs at me because I cover my face during the creepy parts.

Yes, I always get the "Are you watching this?!" question. I'm like "Mmm sure." and then I'll mumble something somewhat coherent about what I think is going on. My bad? lol

I used to watch Vampire Diaries, but got lost in the first season and since them but never returned. Sometimes I watch Criminal Minds with my sister, since she loves it, but it's not really my them.

We love us some TV but I'm on the computer or reading more. Hubs is a bigger TV watcher with sports and all. Netflix instant service does provide a LOT of entertainment. I don't think I could ever talk T into cancelling cable because of Sports and Top Chef. :)

Seriously, what did we do before Netflix? I guess I'm lucky that the hubby isn't into sports. Although I will miss my baseball games on the TV. I'm a die hard Phillies Girl.

Wow! I'm totally in shock that you got rid of cable!! That is so cool! Cheers to you guys!! Even though I don't watch tv, either, I think I would feel like I'm missing something without it. Oh, and I know we can't b/c my hubs is a sports nut and Jake loves his Disney shows. But we'd save a ton of money if we got rid of it.

Ever since I started reading like a fiend, tv shows just pale in comparison to the worlds in books. So I don't bother. TV is too slow for me.

It took over a year of convincing the Hubby that he would survive without the cable. I'm like there is a redbox a block away and between the DVDs/Instant view on Netflix there's more than enough to watch. Cable is just so stinking expensive!
