Monday Wrapup (185)
It's Monday! What Are You Reading, hosted by Book Journey, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
Reviews for the past week:
Fates by Lanie Bross (Early Review)
"I am huge fan of all things Mythology, so when I read the blurb for FATES, I was really excited. Unfortunately that excitement fizzled pretty quickly as I started reading this book. From the very start things felt jumbled and rather all over the place and the characters had no real depth. There was very little explanation in the world building, leaving more than a little confused, which only got worse the longer I read."
Perfect Lies by Kiersten White (Early Review)
"This is one of those books that sucks you in from the very start. Granted, the flipping timeline was a bit hard to follow at times, I absolutely adore these characters and it was one heck of a read that you won't want to miss!"
Kirsten's Book of the Week:
Red Delicious by Kathleen Tierney (Review)
"Red Delicious is a vicious parody of the bloated tropes conflating the urban fantasy genre, spinning them dizzyingly and shoving the story off a cliff into unexpected and delightfully twisted new territory."
Other Posts:
Elusion by Claudia Gabel & Cheryl Klam was featured for Waiting on Wednesday.
Upcoming List:
Killer Frost by Jennifer Estep (Early Review)
The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison (Early Review)
