Forget the TV, give me a good book and a cup of coffee and I'm a very happy camper. Urban Fantasy and Paranormal YA are my genres of choice. I also cannot resist a good dystopian as there is something so enthralling about them. I live and breathe books and nothing makes me happier then sharing that love with others. Books aside, I believe coffee and wine are food groups. I'm also mom to two sports obsessed teens and married to an amazing husband. They only drive me crazy on days that end in Y, but I love them to pieces. Find me on Twitter: @KT_Clapsadl

There is no escaping war when ancient evil haunts the present . . .
Madison Young and her friends go to a parking lot carnival. That same night she is found with her throat mangled. When she wakes up in the hospital, she has no memory of any attack. The cravings start immediately. They confuse and frighten her, but she cannot deny them.
As she starts remembering fragments from that night, she realizes more than just her life had been in danger–an unspeakable evil has tethered children to the inside of a trailer. Learning secret truths about her past, Madison is determined to track down the traveling carnival. Time is of the essence and sacrifices will have to made if she wants to save the stolen children.
Her new found strength and abilities make her a perfect fit for a nightbreed of deadly and unlikely heroes. If she joins The Nightbreed will she find answers to her mounting questions? More importantly, will she find purpose for the creature she’s become?

My recent post #NextYACraze Book Review: Curse of the Bane (Last Apprentice, Book 2)

I have a science fiction novel, No Easy Road, that I'd like to submit to you for review. It's a space opera story about two point-of-view characters, inspired in part by Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series. The first character, Tom Cochrane, is a young officer in the Centauri Royal Navy who has drawn the wrath of his commander and has one last gamble to save his career. The second, Bertrand Lile, belongs to a mysterious society, Concordia, and is on a mission to save humanity from a distant empire. The two develop a friendship over the course of this first book in the series and search for evidence to prove the looming danger.

My name is Brandon Hill. I am a sci-fi/fantasy author, both self-published and published through publishers. I have published 5 books, and I have been looking for a professional review for my newest book, Double-Cross My Heart, which is the first story in a dark urban fantasy series that I have entitled, "The War of Millennium Night."
This series features stories and adventures during a ten millennia long war between two clans of vampires: one that lives in peaceful symbiosis with humans, and the other seeks to dominate humanity. Double-Cross My Heart is the first full-length novel in this series, following the prelude novella, From Slate to Crimson (though it is not necessary to have read the previous story to fully understand the latter). It tells the tale of a special mission given to the adopted daughter of the father of the peaceful vampires. The plot is as follows:
Turned at a tender age, and left with no memory of her human life, Elisa, the beloved adopted daughter of Talante, has had many obvious difficulties in her near two centuries of life, but none so frustrating as her inability to find love - that is until a dire mission leads her to Derek, another vampire turned in his formative years, and the de facto leader of a clan of vagabonds: vampires who choose to take no sides in the war. But her happiness is only a prelude to heartbreak as she learns secrets of a past she thought erased, which may cost her the trust and love of the one who holds the greatest portion of her heart.
It is my hope that you will find this book of interest and will write a review of it. It can be found at the Amazon address provided. I can provide a paperback copy of the book, or a free .mobi or .pdf file immediately if you choose to do a review of this story. I can be reached at khyron20@gmail.com. Thank you very much for your time, and I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Brandon Hill

Here is our synopsis:
Maverick is sixteen and is not yet a warrior like most Bubbalyons his age. He has never ventured outside the waters of Merrowa, until the day his father sends him on a dangerous quest.
He must travel into the enemy territory of Deep Haven Woods to retrieve medicinal leaves from the sacred Alumia tree and save the life of his sickly grandfather. Maverick’s mission is brought to a sudden halt when a war ensues between the two tribes. He is soon captured by the tyrannical, Feroarian King Treant who demands that he embarks on a perilous journey to the Forbidden Mountains.
Maverick, his father Dran, and three of Treant’s reluctant soldiers are forced to travel as their unwilling companions. Will the five adventurers manage to overcome their profound differences and live to tell the tale?
Thank you for your interest!
